logo (2K) Optical Microscopy

Polarised light microscopy is a very useful tool in the identification and characterisation of birefringent particles (such as fibres and starch grains) and liquids (e.g. surfactant meso-phases). When used in conjunction with XRPD and SAXS, sample characterisation becomes even more powerful.

MAX has both high and low magnification microscopes with both reflected and transmitted illumination facilities. Non-ambient polarised light microscopy is also available, again very useful when used in conjunction with non-ambient SAXS.

Marketing & Promotion

As can be seen from the pictures below MAX can produce startling optical images - very useful in technical reports and equally impressive when incorporated within your technical sales and marketing media.
