AGM 1999

5 rather fuzzy pictures showing some of the different facets of a Hereburgh Anniversary General Meeting (14 April 1999).  Click on the small pictures to reveal larger ones.

Dancing: Yes, we turn up in kit and spend the first part of the evening doing as many dances as possible.  Here you see not one but two sets doing our own Bull Ring dance (and we very nearly had enough for three).  On this occasion the hankies are remarkably together.
Business: Here you can sense the excitement that reaches fever pitch in anticipation of the reports by the Squire, Foreman and Bagman, followed by the elections of officers.  The Deputy Foreman Elect appears to have developed a halo - we expect great things of her when she takes up office.
Eating: We used to have just one birthday cake but, as the membership and number of years grew, we have had to expand to two.
Music: Jay, the landlord at the Dog, allowed us to take over the bar with a music session.  Why is it that melodeon players normally watch the person on their left while they play?
Drinking: One or two members indulge in the odd glass of lemonade.  It appears to taste pretty good.
