Hereburgh TV & Radio Appearances

To date, we have appeared on television on 12 occasions - mainly on Midlands news programmes, but once on national BBC and briefly on global CBC - and twice on radio.

July 3rd, 1996 ITV Central News A live broadcast from the Royal Show, Stoneleigh
May 1st, 1997 BBC Midlands Today and ITV Central News General Election Day: outside Harbury's Polling Station at 7am. The BBC coverage was also shown nationally on "Newsround" and the "Six O'Clock News" and was then seen in several countries around the world on CBC Newsworld.
May 1st, 1998 ITV Central News) At dawn at Chesterton Windmill yet again!
July 8th, 1998 BBC World Service radio Recorded a couple of days earlier at the Royal Show, Stoneleigh - a brief snatch of the sound of Hereburgh Morris dancing "Speed the Plough", used as an intro for a farming programme.
July 3rd, 1999   Hereburgh seen at Bourton-on-the-Water, during the Mason's Apron Day of Dance.
November 4th, 1999 ITV Central News A very brief snatch of Hereburgh dancing during a feature on the making of the Harbury Chronicles film.
November 24th, 1999 BBC Midlands Today Another very brief snatch of Hereburgh dancing during a second feature on the making of the Harbury Chronicles film.
January 21st, 2001 ITV Central News A glimpse of Hereburgh shivering at Elephant-up-a-Pole's annual Wassail at Ryton Gardens.
May 1st, 2001 ITV Central News At dawn at Chesterton Windmill yet again - this time beside a small replica mill.
July 13th, 2002 ITV Central South A news round-up of sunny Sunday afternoon activities included Hereburgh dancing at the Ascott-under-Wychwood village fête.
May 1st, 2005 BBC Radio WM (Coventry & Warwickshire) The radio car covered our dancing at Chesterton Windmill and also breakfast back at Celia's!
July, 2006 BBC Radio WM (Coventry & Warwickshire) A small team from Hereburgh performed on radio, teaching a dance to a member of the studio.  This was part of a build-up to Warwick Folk Festival and the BBC's 'Big Dance' project.
