Welcome to

Micropropagation Services

Started in 1985, our micropropagation nursery has a wealth of experience and currently produces approximately 800,000-1,000,000 plants annually.  We remain an independent family-run laboratory and nursery.  Our aim is to deliver robust plants on time to help our customers grow profitable crops.

We sell from our annual catalogue and although we carry stock all year, early ordering is advisable.  We also undertake contract propagation.

Plant Range

Roses

At first we specialized in roses and we have a wealth of experience of different varieties, growing techniques and marketing opportunities.  We remain committed to Own-Root Roses, as having great future potential.  Our modern range is now selected with good health as the main criteria.  We offer colourful patio roses, traditional garden varieties and strong ground cover roses for amenity and landscaping.

Clematis

In 1991 we started offering an initial range of clematis.  This has proved very successful with good vigour and higher health.  There appears to be a link between micropropagated clematis and reduced risk of clematis wilt.  The range has now been broadened to a total of 50+ varieties, including both popular "household" names and more unusual small-flowered varieties.

Trees

We first offered a range of broadleaf trees in 1994, mainly for the amenity market.  Our range has increased and now includes a number of decorative birches, in addition to Betula jacquemontii and flowering cherry amongst others.  We have also been involved in the production of native broadleaves -      P. avium WildstarTM, English Elm (Ulmus procera), Scottish-origin Aspen (Populus tremula) and Black Poplar (Populus nigra).
