Sherwood Oak's

Ancient Stag Heads

Sherwood Forest, Famed for its Oak, abounds in ancient riches. High on the list of its historical treasures are the "Ancient Stag Head" Oaks, so called because their spindly branches resemble the stag's antlers. At around 500 years old they form part of the Robin Hood Legend.

Our Trees Heritage

Due to widespread importation of many varieties of trees, it is in many cases impossible to establish the true heritage of any given plant. This is not the case with our Oaks. After 15 years of research, supported by Nottinghamshire County Council and with invaluable assistance from Nottingham University, we now have on offer exact replicas of Sherwood Forest's "Ancient Stag Head" Oaks.

Sherwood Forest

Sherwood Forest is a renowned "European Site of Special Interest." We want to do all we can to help sustain this vital environmental and ecological treasure. As such, for every oak we sell, 10% will go towards the planting of an indigenous sapling, via the "Sherwood Forest Trust."
