Real Free Range Chickens

At Moen's we deal only with farms that share our ethos of providing the best quality chickens through proper husbandry. Free range chickens from Packington Poultry

All chickens sold at our Clapham shop are free-range birds that grow at a slow, natural rate. They are housed in small flocks, with access to open paddocks and pastures, and are raised on a natural cereal-based diet, free of additives. This means:

No antibiotics
No hormones
No growth promoters
No genetically modified food

Compare our suppliers' high standards with those of the intensive chicken rearing industry, where flocks of up to 20,000 birds are packed into a single shed. Antibiotics in food make the birds grow at a rapid and unnatural rate. Near permanent lighting encourages overeating and results in a 2-3kg bird in just 38 days. No wonder people from all over south London flock to Moen's in search of a high quality alternative.

The five poultry farms that currently supply Moen's are listed below. You can see the high quality of care their chickens receive, and understand why Moen's chooses to stock them.
