This machine is designed for medium duty use for cables,rope or hose length measurement. It can measure cable/rope
from 5mm up to 25mm in diameter. The cable/rope is fed through the machine, a reset lever allows the user to zero
the count. The mechanical counter uses a 1/4 metre knurled aluminium measuring wheel which has a spring fitted
to keep pressure on the material being measured to stop the meter bouncing and help reducing slippage. Four plastic v-notch rollers provide guidance for the material as it is passed through the measuring machine. There are four fixing holes, 220mm apart lengthwise and 77mm apart sideways, they will accept a M8 bolt.
Total length 296mm. Width 211mm. Height minimum 135, maximum 246mm.
Not suitable for measuring steel wire rope.

the count. The mechanical counter uses either a 1/2 metre knurled aluminium measuring wheel or a 1/2 metre polyurethane covered wheel. There are four fixing holes, 350mm apart lengthwise and 150mm apart sideways, they will accept a M10 bolt.
Total length 444mm. Width 286.5mm. Height 260mm.
A spring mounted tension kit can be added if required, please contact for details.

A side entry measuring machine built of aluminium and stainless steel components, this machine is designed for heavy duty use for cables,rope or hose length measurement. It can measure cable/rope
from 5mm up to 80mm in diameter. The cable/rope is inserted in the side of the machine by opening one side of the machine. Simple toggle clamps then hold one side in place when in use.
A reset lever allows the user to zero
the count. The mechanical counter uses either a 1/2 metre knurled aluminium measuring wheel or a
1/2 metre polyurethane covered wheel. There are four fixing holes, 350mm apart lengthwise and 150mm apart sideways,
they will accept a M10 bolt.

2640 Overhead Cable/Rope Measuring Machine

|
This machine has been designed to measure lengths of overhead cables.
The unit is hung on the cable and a verticaly movable pulley is then used to clamp the measuring wheel
to the cable. A shackles are provided either end to enable the machine to be pulled along.
A mechanical counter then displays the length/distance that the machine has moved.
Its primary use is for positioning of spacers on overhead power lines.
Can accommodate cable sizes between 8mm-43mm diameter.
An Encoder version is also avaiable, the output from the encoder can be used in conjunction
with any of the electronic counters available from Nesslegrove to give a more localised
reading should it be required.
