First round of the MSA British Historic Rally Championship and only the second competitive outing for car and crew. The event took place in Nottinghamshire during the weekend 1st-2nd March 2003, and comprised some 45 miles over 13 special stages, linked by road sections totalling 125 miles.
The first four stages were run during the darkness and rain of Saturday evening, and a bad choice of tyres led to a couple of half-spins on stages 1 and 2 and a minor 'off' on stage 3.
The weather on Sunday was much improved, and despite another minor 'off' just before the end of stage 5 and a rear puncture less than a mile into stage 6 (5.5 miles long), we finished 8th in class and 20th overall.
