Victoria, Albert and Alice (sponsor buns)

These buns are collectively known as The Royals, two white and a cinnamon.  They are a bonded threesome and live as a family.

These three beautiful bunnies were found as strays, running about on a hillside along with another two buns which were sadly never found.

Victoria (cinnamon coloured) is very cheeky.  She will let you pet her providing she gets to keep her feet firmly on the ground.

Albert (in the far right of the picture) is the male angora and he's been neutered.  He's very sweet, doesn't mind cuddles and is very intelligent.

Alice is the other white one.  She likes to do her own thing and will potter about the garden, digging, munching grass and generally pinging about.

Victoria and Albert tend to hang out together more, but in their house all three snuggle up together, grooming each other.

Alice and Albert need to have their fur properly clipped on a regular basis to prevent matts developing, Victoria's fur is completely different and just requires regular grooming.

We did originally have the Royals up for adoption, and they were lined up for going to a wonderful home.  However Albert developed a jaw abscess which will require ongoing veterinary treatment, and we didn't feel it was fair to allow someone to take on a bun with a condition like Albert's, especially with the indefinite costs of keeping him healthy and comfortable.

We now have to improve their living conditions by building a covered run to attach to their house, and fill it with lots of interesting things to do for when they can't get into the garden to play.

Update:  Victoria sadly couldn't resist the pull of Rainbow Bridge and left us suddenly on 30th January 2007.  One minute she was fine and tucking into her breakfast, the next minute she was lying fitting on the ground.  We called a vet in but the prognosis wasn't good.  She died in her own time, lying peacefully in her Daddy's arms, cosied up on the bed, later that day.

~ Sleep tight little princess, watch over Albert and Alice until you all meet again.  We'll never forget your beauty and your character, your gloriously shiny head and feet, your tangle-free long hair, your cheeky 'regal' face.  Take all our love to the spirit buns, tell them we miss them so much ~
