LETTER
February 06 |
Another Month has been and gone, and although slightly later than usual, we mean to keep our promise of keeping our Customers, both existing and potentially new, up to date with our progress.
One of the main reasons this Newsletter is slightly late is the increase in workload which has been gradually building up over the last 2 months. Seems a good excuse, but it is true all the same. The new employees mentioned in previous letters have settled in well and are now starting to do paid work for us, as they get to know the Software. In addition, they are providing valuable help to our Marketing Department, for such things as PowerPoint presentations, and Advertising material. In fact our new logos for ‘Optimise’ and Juno IT Services Ltd (more of that later) were designed by one of the new lads.
The only thing that bothers some of the Directors, who are not all in the first flush of youth, and Phil Carter in particular, is getting used to dates of birth in the late eighties!! As Phil pointed out his dog is older than one of the new lads. They certainly bring life to the organisation.
The Juno IT Services Ltd, our sister company is now up and running and will be officially launched at our Open Day to be held at the Bentley Hotel Lincoln. Simon Piercy and Matthew Manning are already making their presence felt, and we have already provided quotations for complete infrastructure support to one of our customers. What we are offering in effect, is management of all the Customer IT infrastructure form Desktop applications, Firewall, Anti Virus advice etc. We set up a contract which will include a schedule of actions we would take for each item. E.g. On weekly basis we would check Anti Virus, and Firewall software, and on a quarterly basis a site visit to audit your systems. All of this is available at a very affordable price. We will be sending out information to our Customers in the next 10 to 14 days once we have the web site up and running.
The Open Day mentioned above will be on the 29th March at Lincoln venue we used last time ,and Customers both Existing and Potential should have received an invitation. Please give your attendance some serious consideration, as the format will be different to that we held in July last year. That was specifically designed to introduce Optimise Systems Ltd to the wide world and the partners we would be taking forward with us. This time we are being more pro active and the following will form part of the day.
|
So as you can see, the day should be interesting from a practical point of view, and there will be ample opportunities for those present to take part in and have input in to the day. In addition, we will be announcing the setting up of a Steering Group for the New Development, on to which we would expect to have Customer representation across the various Sectors of industry covered by the Software. This reiterates our Company philosophy to have ‘Open Book’ relationships with our Customers and actively involving them in our future.
Sales News
Phil Carter has been reasonably pleased with our development of Sales leads generation. These are now growing apace across the different sectors from Fresh Produce to Contractors. He is hopeful that over the next few months, we will be converting some of these in to New Customers. Certainly the response from those potential customers has been excellent.
In addition, what has particularly pleased us has been the responses from our Customer base who wish to develop further, their existing Prodigy software, which is in effect expressing their confidence in the Software and the staff at Optimise Systems Limited. The headaches, if that is the right term, are now with Arthur Field and Nick Narracott for their Development and Technical implementation teams respectively. I know they are looking forward to the challenge!
We look forward to seeing as many of you as can make it to our Open Day
