A456/A458
The south of the Borough seems to be particularly 'well blessed'!?!? with red routes (which we will continue to strenuously oppose - how dare they!).
The network map shows the A456 as a dotted redline which presumably means it will have some form of red route status, especially since it is destined to connect up at Quinton.
The proposal for the A458 starts in the West at Wollaston and the Bridgnorth Road, through the village and into Enville Street, around the Stourbridge ring road and along Birmingham Street into Lye (where the 'Cross' will ultimately host two red routes, East to West and South to North!).
Then along High Street, Park Road (The Hayes) and Stourbridge Road (Cradley and Belle Vale) to Halesowen and beyond up Mucklows Hill and the M5.
In the 'grand plan' for a West Midland 'network' this would certainly continue across the Borough boundary, join up with the A456 and on along the Hagley Road to Birmingham.
