RED ROUTE - ONE STEP CLOSER….
Surveyors have been active along Stourbridge Road and Brettel Lane over the past week – measuring the road in preparation. Electric cables have also been laid to determine volume of traffic….red routes are beginning to appear on all other major ‘A’ roads across Dudley…55 fines have already been imposed in ONE WEEK to an area that recently saw the red route introduced….
Many residents believe that the route will now be scrapped because we have raised our objection in the letters recently circulated.
THIS IS NOT THE CASE!!!
We were disappointed to see so few posters being displayed to show support. Councillors will travel along this route to monitor the level of such support. We therefore urge everyone to DISPLAY YOUR POSTER NOW!
Since our last letter we have:
The Council Area Committee meets again on 14th October 7pm (B/Hill Civic Hall) or 27th October 6.30pm (Dudley Town Hall) or 4th Nov 7pm (Sbridge Town Hall)
The vote for the red route to be passed or rejected will take place on 19th NOVEMBER (subject to change…details will be circulated)
PLEASE DO YOUR UTMOST TO ATTEND ONE OR ALL OF THESE MEETINGS.
