For the businesses and
individuals who serve the thousands of homes and business along the
A461...You are about to lose easy access to a few thousand customers!
Compliments of the
red route. PROTEST
NOW
from Doctor to plumber, double glazer and milkman, funeral director to courier, taxi driver or building contractor - you will only be allowed to stop in a designated parking area - this may be some distance from the customer premises. And if it is full then you will need to find another one further away. Sorry, but you cannot just stop for 'a minute or so' - the ban is absolute. The ban will even apply to people like nurses and doctors - only emergency services vehicles (with blue flashing lights!) will be allowed to park and refuse-collection vehicles can also stop briefly. Otherwise there is an absolute ban on parking or even stopping on road or pavement except in a designated parking area. And funeral corteges will have to assemble in a side street near the deceased's home and similarly when they reach the Church.
Will it apply to you?
are you a builder, roofer, plumber or electrician..
maybe you are a domestic appliance repairer...
perhaps you maintain computers and office equipment...
you could be a doctor, nurse or mobile therapist...
funeral director...
then again you might supply and fit double glazing or fascias and guttering...
do you lay drives...
or deliver building materials...
perhaps you rent rubbish skips...
and then you may be a courier who needs to stop for a few minutes to deliver a parcel
or visiting daily to deliver milk or bread
taxi driver (except black cab)
?
YOU cannot stop on a
red route.
Even an emergency doctor cannot stop on a
red
route. NO, not
even for a few moments.
If you want to do business on the A461 you will have to park your vehicle in a side street and carry everything a few hundred yards to the customer property. Ridiculous or what? Protest now
