ACTION AGAINST RED ROUTE - Update

 Dear Residents,

We wish to keep you all informed as to the progress we have made with our campaign to STOP the red route along our roads.

Some of you may have read recent newspaper articles about this, but we can confirm that we now have reporters from all the major newspapers, all of whom are keen to follow the story of our fight. This is excellent news for the campaign as the more public awareness we raise, the easier our task, Ian Pearson Mp has indicated his support, together with the three councillors that represent the Holly Hall area. Councillors from Brettell Lane are now paying attention simply through the volume of calls made from residents.

The support we have had from you the residents is tremendous, and without it we simply would not succeed. However, we are becoming aware that many people believe the route will not affect them, We have therefore attached a sheet of questions and answers for your attention, PLEASE READ THEM.

Brettell Lane residents are now collating their own petition which will show even further support of our objections~ Tipton have also provided a massive effort - even though there are only about 30-40 houses affected on this stretch of the route, we have full support from them which is fantastic!

REMEMBER the red route has to be complete -rejection in one area will result in the whole plan being thrown out!

We hope that you have all now signed, and posted the letters of objection. We are keen to have the Council receive as many objection letters as possible which ‘will support the 500 signature petition already submitted from residents along Stourbridge Road.

IF YOU HAVE NOT SENT YOUR OBJECTION LETTER - PLEASE

DO IT NOW

We are now on round two of sending objection letters to the councillors, and have attached a letter for the attention of Ian Pearson MP, which we again ask you to complete your name and address, and sign. In addition, we have enclosed a poster which ask that you display perhaps in your home window, or car.

We appreciate that sometimes when our team call upon you for signatures on letters, or other requests, it can be at inconvenient times. However, we do ask that you bear with us. and show your support. These are crucial times for preventing these plans to progress any further. It is imperative that the pressure is kept on all concerned. A few minutes of your time over the next few weeks may spare us a lifetime of misery.

 Thank you all again:

Dean Seymour
