Whilst in your chat logbook, look up and the "Flirt & Chat" tab should be brown, with a few subheadings underneath. Click on the Love@Lycos subheading.

Is Love@Lycos free?

The main Love@Lycos services are free, but for a small fee you can upgrade to Deluxe and change your background 'skin', upload more pictures, chat in the exclusive Deluxe chatroom and loads more!
The only other thing that costs is the premium horoscopes (the regular horoscopes are free).

Dating - Getting started

Here's a quick start guide to virtual Dating the Love@Lycos way...
Firstly, make sure you fill out the personality test - we can't match you if you don't.
Go to "Search" and start looking for your perfect match. Click on people's name to view their page.
Once you've found someone promising, click "Invite on a date" and start your wooing. Your message will go to their invitation list.
They will then either accept or decline your invitation. Yes, life can be cruel sometimes.
The next time you sign in, check your invitations list to see if it was accepted. If it was, it will appear in "Booked Dates" and all you have to do is make sure you turn up on time.
We will prepare a private chat room just for the two of you. To go to your date, go to "Scheduled Dates" and click "go to date" up to 30 minutes before the start.
When the date is over and you've got your breath back, it's time to "Rate the Date"! Your comments will appear on both your profiles...

Personality test - Where to find it

If you've not completed the personality test, a link to it will appear in place of the sign-in box after you've signed in.
The link disappears after you take the test.
N.B. you only get one go at the personality test - you can't retake it.
