Penzance is the perfect base to explore West Cornwall, an area famed for its golden sandy beaches and rugged cliffs. Penzance is a small but lively town offering many shops, bars and restaurants and steeped in history and tradition. It is situated on the edge of Mounts Bay, overlooking St Michaels Mount. Penzance?s bus and train stations (just 3 minutes away from us) offer transport to many local attractions. Penzance is also home to the daily ferry service to the Isles of Scilly, which lie 28 miles southwest of Lands End. These run from March to October and day trips are reasonably priced. Flights to the Isles of Scilly are available by plane from Lands End airport, 10 miles away, or by helicopter, from the Heliport, 2 minutes away by car. A regular shuttle service runs to both from the train station, 3 minutes walk from Penrose.
