We have three letting rooms at Penrose. One double en-suite, one twin en-suite and a family room with a double and single bed, with its own private shower room (comprising king size shower cubicle, washbasin, bidet and separate WC), just across the landing from it. The twin en-suite is available made up as a superior size double for stays of 3 or more nights, subject to a supplement of £2 per night. The family room is available to be booked as a twin or double room, at the same rate as the twin or double en-suite. All rooms are available for single occupancy with a discount amount dependant on time of year.
All rooms are comfortably furnished, with LCD TV with Freeview and DVD/CD player. Tea and coffee facilities provided, including herbal tea, decaff coffee, hot chocolate and biscuits. Fresh milk is available on request. An alarm clock and hairdryer are also provided.
All prices are per room per night, inclusive of breakfast and taxes. Single room rates dependant on time of year.
Please note, we do not have single rooms. Single rates are for single occupancy of a double, twin or family room.
Payment Terms
We accept payment by cash, or sterling traveller's cheques as well as most major credit/debit cards. Please note, we apply a surcharge of 3% on credit card payments, American Express, non UK debit cards and business cards, excluding payments made for deposit. There is no surcharge on UK debit cards. For all bookings we ask for a deposit of one night's applicable room rate where practical.
In the event of cancellation with less than 14 days notice, or a no show, there will be no refund and a further charge equal to 65% of the total value of your stay, less your deposit, will be charged to the card used to pay the deposit, even without your authorisation. With more than 14 days notice given, an amount equal to 50% of your deposit will be refunded. There will be no additional charges. Payments made by card can only be refunded onto the original card used.
Any amendment to the booking resulting in a reduction in the length of stay, made within 14 days of, or after, arrival a charge equal to 65% of the value of nights not required will be charged to your card. We strongly recommend that you take out appropriate travel insurance.
Check In And Check Out Times
We operate a flexible check in policy. Guests can check in anytime on their day of arrival. If the room is not ready, they can collect their key and leave their luggage. Rooms are normally ready by 1.00pm. However, we do like to know time of arrival in advance as we do not have 24 hour reception. Check in after 9.30pm at night only by prior arrangement.
On the day of departure, we ask that guests vacate their rooms by 10.00am. Guests are welcome to leave their luggage, free of charge, for collection later in the day (subject to us not having prior commitments). However, a donation to our charity box would be appreciated.
