PREC's Community Cohesion and Inclusion Event - Thursday 19th October 2006 - 6.00 pm to 9.30 pm

In celebration of Black History Month we presented an atmospheric evening, celebrating black culture with performances including Story Telling and Poetry entitled Black in Peterborough, Bangra Beat (drumming and dance), Phase5UK Steel drummers from London, Young MC's from Peterborough. This event was free of charge with light refreshments and snacks available.

An indoor 'campfire' set the scene, with the fantastic music urging many of the attendees to feel the rhythm, getting up to dance the evening away around the live indoor palm trees!!

Our thanks is given to Government Office East for help in funding the event, which was also supported by Swines Meadow Garden Centre, Deeping and Cross Keys Homes.

An absolutely fantastic event was had by all!
