This 12 foot tall scale replica of a "Car CV Joint" was built as a display case. The base was has a machine-finished texture that becomes a highly polished band with a series of square windows, where the bearings would sit, these windows view into lit display cases containing the real items. Above this is cylindrical spline and right at the top a thread.
