The Basis

The Common Misconception

When asked why they do the things they do, most people answer "It's the way I've always done it." That answer is why companies spend millions on advertising each year trying to influence your behaviour. And yes, trying to get you to change the way you think and the way you do things.

So, what does that have to do with audio and video distribution? Quite a bit, actually. Answer this question. Why do you use RGBHV cables and associated equipment? Your answer will probably fit into one of the following. "I've always done it that way." or "I've heard bad things about those category 5 products and I don't want to get caught in the same problem." or "Everything I've read leaves too many questions unanswered for me."

Everything you've ever learned about distributing video and audio over structured cable is wrong! So how can we say that and convince you that our products are different? Read on and see for yourself.

Arion Technologies has been in the audio/video distribution and control business since 1988. Not familiar with our name? Right, but you are familiar with some of our products. Actually Arion has been developing, manufacturing, and private labelling products for years. Specifically, they designed, produced, and private labelled the products they have been selling as MultiView-1000™and TV-Link™ since 1998. And, they've been told more than once that those products have become the industry standard. Look at other companies like Black Box Solution and FSR and you'll find Arion's products too. Given that their products are the industry standard, why aren't you using them in lieu of RGBHV? Again, probably your misconception about whether they work.

Arion started selling products directly into the audio/video market in 2001. Their first product was VideoNet™. Recently Arion introduced two new products, SAVI™ and Kuvera™ with U.S.C.I.T.™ (Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology) which was designed to work with any structured cable, yes category 5, 5e, 6, or 7. Read on!

Looking at the industry standard more carefully, VideoNet can transport VGA video over category 5 up to 1000 feet (300m). And it will deliver a resolution of 1024 X 768 at 1000 feet. What makes VideoNet so special is that you need no special wires, no skew compensation, no skew free cable. Simply put the transmitter at one end, the receiver at the other and plug it in. That's it! There is no more! It's that simple! So forget all that you've read, heard or thought. It works, plain and simple.

We all know that structured cable manufacturers are now adding new numbers like category 5e, or 6 or 7. As these cables are introduced you must know one thing. The twists and lengths of the wires will vary thus you need a product that can compensate for those differences. You could add delay line compensators or high and low band equalizers to the circuits, but then all you get is added cause for problems.

That's why Arion Technologies developed U.S.C.I.T.™ Universal Structured Cable Integrated Technology. With U.S.C.I.T.™ our new products have built in delay line compensation and dual band equalization. That gives you the best there is and nothing on the market can compete, nothing!

U.S.C.I.T.™ gives SAVI™ and Kuvera™ the ability to work with any structured cable. Each receiver allows you to fine-tune the video output for the very best picture possible using delay line compensation to adjust each colour and dual band equalisation to compensate for signal drop off and losses due to the cable length. No more bulky and expensive RGBHV cables. No more BNC connectors at each end. No more RGB distribution amplifiers to worry about. And structured cable goes just about anywhere you need to put a display or projector. Simple and straight forward.

You might be saying to yourself, "All that is nice, but why should I use Arion products?" Three reasons:

First, Arion Technologies has set the standard for Audio/Video Distribution over structured cable products.

Second, Arion Technologies is the leader in developing new products to meet and exceed the industry's needs and requirements.

Third, Arion Technologies guarantees the performance of our products or your money back!

Take a few minutes to discover Arion products and what makes them special. Give us a call and ask those questions. We're here to help you get to the point where your customers say... "I am so pleased with this project that I'll recommend Arion's products to everyone."

Note: All Arion Technologies' products rely and depend on the EIA 568B wiring convention for all connections on the RJ45 connectors and UTP structured cabling system. Warranty will be void and damage may occur to the Arion Technologies' products if this convention is not followed.
