Formed in 2000, Chalk mix organic, acoustic and melody with the obscure, the abstract, the ugly and the beautiful, using beats, electric guitar riffs and electro grooves. Their sound has not changed in the last three years, but they have instead just been concentrating on getting better and writing stronger material, putting together a live set and developing as a musical partnership. They're influnced by, amngst others, Janes Addiction, Neil Young, David Bowie, Anti pop Consortium, Tricky, Super Collider, The Pixies, and Tony Bennet. They hate UK Garage and Brussel Sprouts.
