GENRE(S): Acoustic

From the vibrant Canadian indie landscape that also contains The Arcade Fire, Godspeed You Black Emperor, Broken Social Scene and Sarah Harmer, Emm Gryner has carved a distinctive niche for herself. Ron Sexsmith called her song “Stereochrome” one of the “most beautiful melodies I have heard in a while”, while David Bowie named Godspeed You Black Emperor and Emm Gryner his two favourite Canadian artists during his Reality promotional tour . Emm has also won a host of awards, such as Top 10 Pop Song International Songwriting Competition 2005 “Symphonic”, several Juno nominations and Best Female Musician in Toronto, Eye Magazine 1999. She's also toured with David Bowie, Rufus Wainwright, The Cardigans, Alanis Morissette and Sarah MacLachlan. Folk legend Kate McGarrigle performed banjo on Emm’s last album “Songs of Love and Death”. Inbetween all this she also finds time to run her own record label, Dead Daisy Records.
