JEREMY WARMSLEY

Jeremy Warmsley is a half-English, half-French singer-songwriter based in London. He gigs & records both as a solo artist, relying on just the strength of his songs to hold the attention of his audiences, and with a full band – spiky guitars, rhythmic, rolling drums, deep bass, even analogue synths, where rhythm has almost as much an emphasis as melody. Influenced by the likes of the Talking Heads, Scott Walker, the Kinks, Tom Waits and XTC, as well as Bob Dylan, the Beatles and many more, his music arrives fully-formed in a unique space bracketed by folk, art-rock & whatever else he finds lying around in his record collection. In August 04, he completed his first full-length album, “Jan 76”. Nine tracks long and recorded entirely at home, it showcased the variety intrinsic to his songwriting skills, being comprised of half electric, bouncy, poppy rockers and half slow-mo widescreen acoustic ballads. "bursting with more potential than I've ever heard from an unsigned artist" (MusicUnderwater.com) "captivated me from start to finish" (rhythm-and-booze.co.uk) "original & outstanding" (Varsity)
