LOU DAVIS
Fifties soundtrack meets beats and odd noises. PJ Harvey fronts Portishead. Billie Holiday sings Lamb. On record Lou Davies lies somewhere between the coffee tble and the whorehouse, on stage she is gaining a bit of a reputation for blowing people away. With little but a laptop and a potted plant for company she has swept the audience to such post-gig comments as "I've never heard a sound like that come out of a human being being before." Lou is a former member of sample-hungry band Mechanical Me, releasing two singles on Brighton label Lumenessence. She has also collaborated with Minotour Shock and Slang. "divinely cinematic" - The Guardian.
