The infant Mo Brown was conceived in early spring 2001, as a result of a joyful union between Dean Smith and Greg Pickford in a squalid flat above an off-licence known as The Liquor Locker. These early sessions - ably assisted by any number of red-eyed acquaintances, and playing songs derived from and inspired by a shambolic workshy nocturnal existence - laid the foundation for the blues-influenced tune-heavy riff providers that the band were to morph into over the next three years. After a trip to the sunny shores of Europe to relocate his sanity, original member Dean Smith returnedw, band members shifted about, an new new line up, now more harmonious than acrimonious came together with a bucketful of new tunes. Whatever the case, one thing is clear - that Mo Brown 2004, with all the cockiness of a swaggering gum-chewing pocket-janglingly precocious street-punk, is ideally poised to take the world by storm.
