Northwood are a five piece who come via London and Copenhagen. They sound like a mellow but penetrating mix of Harvest, Elliot Smith and Air. The songs are a window to beaches, hearts, longships, waterguns, icy lakes and ponyrides. Intimate and rolling songs with subtle, intense melodies and restrained edge that know when to hold back. A voice and guitar (Soren), rhodes and mellotron (Tom) from the left and fender (Mihai) from the right, bass (Will) and drums (Barney). Flavours of the west coast, topanga canyon, Oxford villages and Danish summerhouses. They suggest something classic but find a new way to get to your hips and heart.
