The band Paperadio originally hails from the city of Newcastle - Australia. Newcastle is known for its Steel Industry, great beaches, and it's breeding of many famous surfers and rock bands, so it's no surprise that this is a band that is proud of its origins. In 2003 they re-located to London to try their luck in a bigger market. Drawing on a broad range of influences, but grounded in the local upbringing, Paperadio have developed a sound that is melodic, accessible and manages to shine a healthy respect for Rock n Roll. Paperadio's live show is high energy and guitar charged, with big anthemic rock tunes that fall away into emotionally engaging moments, thought provoking lyrics, and an atmosphere that always leaves people wanting more. They have had the privilege of working in the studio with some of the UK's best Producers, including Andy Bradfield (Beth Orton, Manic Street Preachers), who has produced Paperadio's first UK Release.
