Getting the gig is the easy part - now we have to convince shitloads of people to come down and see you. Here's a few things to help:

LISTING THE GIG
We have a mailing list to all the main listing publications and websites (e.g. Time Out, Guardian Guide, NME, drownedinsound.com, artrocker.co.uk etc).  These are emailed with all listings for The Water Rats, The Betsey Trotwood and The Marquee every week.  If there is a particular publication or website where you want your gig to be listed by all means contact them directly so you can send them more information about your band, and perhaps a cd.  Unfortunately we just don't have the time to chase up every band listing.

PREVIEW ON WEB
We can create a preview for your gig on our website. Send us a short press release, including a small (150 pixels wide) JPEG of the band, and a similarly sized band logo if you have one. Let us know if you have a website, and if you have mp3s available for previewing online, send us the link so we can include these as well. People look to our website for new bands because they know we have a high standard. The better you look online, the more likely you are to get people interested.

FLYERS
- Make some flyers
Click on either the Water Rats or the Betsey Trotwood flyer to download  a .pdf flyer which you can open in Adobe Acrobat format.

You will need WINZIP or other zip program, plus ADOBE ACROBAT. Both are available in free evaluation versions.

If you feel like being a bit more creative, you are free to download the logos and map below to use in your own flyers. They look small but are quite high resolution once you save them. Right click on the image you need and select Save Target As...
