Aims |
CHOICES aims to support the development of ‘sustainable communities’, by developing a more cohesive and inclusive approach to learning provision.
"Sustainable communities meet the diverse needs of existing and future residents, their children and other users, contribute to a high quality of life and provide opportunity and choice." Egan Review 2004 The focus of the network is initially on learning relating to 'essential skills' (ES), i.e. basic literacy, language, numeracy and information and communication technologies (ICT). However it is hoped that, in time, other learning provision will be included.

CHOICES aims to make it easier for people to build their skills in places that are familiar and 'safe' |

CHOICES aims to enable and promote the inclusion of any agency, in any sector, who want to be involved and has a commitment to developing and widening the participation of adults in learning |

How it works |
There are three levels of membership for organisations : |
There are criteria for each level of membership to ensure the quality of the services people receive. Any organisation wanting to join the network will be supported in meeting the criteria, either in their own right or with a partner.
We will help you identify where you are now and what you want to offer in relation to learning...
...and then we will help you to do it!
