Central Scottish T384 (GSU 866T)

1979 Leyland Leopard PSU3C, Alexander B53F

The standard Central SMT single-decker from the late 1960s until the early 1980s was the Alexander Y-type bodied Leyland Leopard. T384 was one of a small number bodied at Alexander's Belfast plant in the late 1970s and was the last manual gearbox Leopard delivered to Central SMT, entering service in July 1979. Following the Scottish Bus Group reorganisation, it became Kelvin Central 1526 in 1989. It was sold to Dumfries operator Gibson of Moffat in 1996 and was acquired in 2001 for preservation. The bus recently changed hands and will ultimately be restored to Central Scottish livery and condition. In the meantime though, the bus will brought to running condition to loosely represent its KCB days as the livery it currently wears is not so different.
