Eastern Scottish, which following its 1990 privatisation reverted to using the name SMT, purchased 15 new Optare Metroriders in 1992, which are represented by this vehicle, new in July. First used on local services around Bathgate, it was last used by First Edinburgh and purchased for preservation in 2002.
