1967 Leyland Atlantean PDR1/1, Alexander H44/34F
New to Glasgow Corporation in November 1967, this typical Atlantean was included in the Corporation's takeover by Greater Glasgow PTE,
who operated it until 1979. It was then acquired by Lanarkshire operator Wilson of Carnwath and moved to Essex the following year when acquired by Beestons, Hadleigh.
Since 1981 this vehicle has been in non-PSV use in the Ipswich area, latterly as a youth centre. It was purchased for preservation in 2004 and changed hands in 2005. The bus is now under active restoration and will be finished in the condition in which it left Glasgow wearing full GGPTE livery. Any help you can offer with the collection of the missing parts will be much appreciated.
