Glasgow Corporation's tram replacement fleet included 89 front-entrance AEC Regent
Vs. This was the first of the batch, entering service in December 1960 and lasting until 1975. The following year it was acquired by Trent Valley Gliding Club
and converted into a glider towing winch. It was purchased for preservation in 19** C H E C K
