Langstone Lifesavers Fund

The London2Paris rowing race will be a significant opportunity for attracting local and national interest – on the web, in newspapers, radio and television so we decided to start the Langstone Lifesavers Fund: The L2P team has set a target of raising £50,000 (€67,000) for charities with a common theme – saving lives. Our first charities, which we hopefully won’t need on our trip, are the RNLI and the Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer; both charitable funds that save lives at sea.  Our nominated land-based lifesaving charities included are the British Heart Foundation and Cancer Research UK.

If you would like to donate ONLINE then please select your chosen charity and give generously

To get 2008 off to a good start we enlisted the help of some local talent and thought we would offer you the opportunity to have a bit of fun.

Below is a new year quiz and two word search games. Why not download and print the files and try your luck and here’s how you can help the fund. Be generous and donate £1.00 (minimum) to the Langstone Lifesavers Fund do this, in person, at one of the club rowing days or by writing a cheque (payable to Langstone Cutters Rowing Club) sending it to Langstone LIfesavers Fund, c/o 17 Langstone High Street, Langstone, Hampshire PO9 1RY
