What's Happening?

What are swipe currently doing?

Swipe have many ongoing projects all for the benefit of people in Slough.

We are giving young musicians vocalists and bands of all styles the opportunity to record and rehearse for free.

We are giving free lessons to young people in Guitar, Drums,Steel Pan ,Fiddle playing .

We are giving free vocal coaching to young people.

We are teaching members of the community the art of playing Steel  Pans and through this have developed Panachea the Slough Community Steel Band.

We loan instruments to young people on our projects to enable them to rehearse not only just while they are at swipe but at home as well.

We loan P.A and Instruments to people on our projects to enable them to go out into the community and perform at events they might not otherwise have opportunity to.

We are training people to make and tune steel pans using modern manufacturing techniques paired with traditional tuning methods at the only facility of its kind in the country.........IN SLOUGH!!

We have refurbished old instruments and given them a new lease of life by giving them to young people to use

We have had donations of old pcs and converted them into workstations that can be used to record and produce music

We go out into the community creating performance opportunities around Slough for people of all ages and styles.
