History
SWIPE was formed in 1997 to help further the education and training of children and young people at risk of being excluded from school. It also offered single parent families and over fortys assistance in the creation of employment opportunities.
At present Swipe is using music as a medium to work with young people between the ages of 8 - 19 years of age and in some cases up to 25.
We provide young people in Slough with many music activities including tuition in Steel pan, Guitar , Drums , Fiddle, and Vocal coaching. We also provide rehearsal space and free recordings to young bands and solo artist as well as teaching young people how to record and mix their own music.
This enables young people in Slough to broaden their musical experiences and helps them develop confidence, better communication skills and group awareness.
