SHERWOOD GREENLAW CHURCH

Facilities Available

CRÈCHE  NEWS

The Creche has had no children since January 2011 when our last member left at an early age to go to the Beginners Department of the Junior Church.

Since January 2011 the Creche Convener and the ladies on duty have been in faithful attendance each Sunday morning throughout the year but no children have arrived to use the crèche facilities.

Creche will be suspended in the meantime unless there are people out there with children aged between birth and up to 3 years of age.

Anyone requiring the service of the crèche should contact the Creche Convener, Alison Purves on 0141-887-1858.

Flower Ministry

The Church operates a Flower Ministry to enable members to contribute to the floral decoration of the church.

This can be in the form of a donation to the Flower Fund or to be used on a particular Sunday which the member wishes to mark for its personal significance.

After the morning service, the flowers are distributed to selected members of the congregation.

The convener is Mrs Eileen Dickson who can be contacted via the church office.

Tape Ministry

The Church makes available tape recordings of church services and our monthly magazine, New Life, for the use of the housebound in order that their contact with the Church can be maintained.

The convener of this facility is Bill Hutton, and he can be contacted through the church office.

Life and Work Magazine

Life and Work is a monthly magazine giving up to date information about the Church of Scotland.  It provides news of events across all churches and excellent articles on current issues.

If you wish to receive a copy, please contact the Church office or Marion Ford as undernoted.

Church Library

The library operates as a lending library for Christian books for adults and children.

The library is normally open after Sunday morning service.
