House Groups
House groups are a chance to meet informally and to learn, laugh, pray and grow together in the Christian faith. They are held on various week nights and joining takes place from the beginning of term in September or January. They are free!

What’s new this Autumn / Winter?
In response to suggestions received, we are offering House Groups on Tuesday mornings as well as on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings fortnightly.
The idea behind this new morning session is to have a group that is within easy walking distance of the church. It will meet in the Session House at 10a.m. for coffee and a chat followed by a time of bible study and discussion. The 3 evening House Groups will take place at 7.30pm as usual.
What will the programme contain this year?
All 4 House Groups will be taking a closer look at one of the shorter books of the Bible, the letter of James which is packed full of very relevant advice and practical instructions about how to live a Christian life.
Will I be expected to be very clued up on the Bible if I attend?
Not at all! The whole point of HouseGroups is to learn more about the Bible’s teachings in company with fellow Christians in a relaxed, friendly environment.
What’s it like at a House Group?
The easiest way to find out is to come along!
But why not ask someone who attends a House Group? One member refers to his
group as “a fun evening with a serious purpose”. We do seem to do a lot of
laughing and we get to know one another quite well over the weeks. We also learn
from one another and discover new insights along the way.
Everyone is most welcome.

Prayer Group
The Prayer Group meets on Wednesdays at 7.30 p.m. in the Session House, except on certain Wednesdays in the autumn and spring when the House Groups are in session.
MEN’S GROUP
An informal Men’s Group has been started in Sherwood Greenlaw. It is hoped to institute a programme of meetings with guest speakers and visits to places of interest. Notice of all meetings and visits will be given in the Church Intimations so keep a look out!
