Sherwood Greenlaw Church, Paisley, welcomes you, as one of the foremost Churches In Paisley, to our website and hopes to provide you with a little more information on our church family and its activities.

Please browse on our site and see what we have to offer.

As a Church of Scotland congregation, we seek to make known the relevance of the Christian message to the lives of people living in the 21st century, and to give opportunities to everyone to discover God’s plan and purpose for the world and everyone in it.

WHERE ARE WE

Sherwood Greenlaw Church is situated at the corner of Glasgow Road and Greenlaw Drive in the east end of Paisley, opposite Paisley Grammar School, and anyone who would wish to join us at any of our services would be made most welcome.

SERVICES

Sunday services are held as follows:

MORNING SERVICES

11.00 a.m. An opportunity for everyone to join in worship. The young people have their own Junior Church and there is a crèche for the smallest children.

EVENING SERVICES

It has been decided that recent attendance at Evening Services means that they are no longer viable and that regular weekly evening services should be discontinued.
It is intended, however, to retain the monthly Holy Communion and Healing Service, which will normally be held on the last Sunday in each month.

From time to time, it is also intended that special evening services might still be organised – for example, on those occasions when we have been able to host special inter church services for organisations like Tear Fund, or an occasional Songs of Praise service.

During July and August, there is an additional morning family service at 9.30 a.m., geared to young people and families. There is no evening service.

WEDNESDAY WORSHIP

This takes place in the church on Wednesday mornings from the first Wednesday in October until mid May.

Wednesday Worship is a short service in the Church (usually 20/25 Minutes) followed by tea and biscuits and a time of fellowship in the lower hall. The minister takes the service on the first Wednesday of each month. Services on the other Wednesdays are taken by other members of the Church or occasionally by outside speakers.

All are welcome.
