JUNIOR CHURCH
Junior Church meets every Sunday morning at 11am from mid August until mid June.
At Junior Church we welcome all children from 3 years of age to Primary 7.
Junior Church provides an opportunity for children to meet friends, play games, do crafts and have great fun while learning about Jesus’ love for them.
We have 3 classes
Beginners – 3 years of age to Primary 1
Primary – Primary 2 to Primary 4
Juniors – Primary 5 to Primary 7
The teaching material that we use in our classes is all covering the same biblical theme.
We encourage the children’s participation in worship during family services and our annual Christmas Nativity Service.
Junior Church have made a commitment to sponsoring a young girl in Honduras and the children regularly write to her and learn more about her and her family.
Each year we have a Christmas appeal. In previous years we filled 100 shoe boxes which were delivered to Blythswood Christmas Appeal to be distributed in Eastern Europe. We have also supported local refuges by collecting toiletries and woollens.
Last year our Christmas Appeal was filling backpacks with basic educational material for the charity Mary’s Meals.
Each year at the end of session we have a family outing, this year we went by coach to Heads of Ayr Farm Park. It is a great opportunity for the children to have fun and for the families all to spend time together and get to know each other.
