MILL MIX

Our machine has a mill plant attached to a lorry. It allows us to go to local farmers so they can utilise their own home grown produce and to create individual blends.

The service is quick, clean and accurate with accredited assurance. Other advantages are that it allows complete traceability, cost control, reduction in feed miles and carbon footprint.

Home grown cereals are taken in by suction, weighed, then ground or rolled. Blended molasses and/or soya oil is sprayed into the mix giving it a highly palatable dust free ration. Protein, concentrates, straights and minerals are supplied and added as required.

The machine can mix ‘batches' up to 7T at one time to create consistent blends. However, you may just want to take advantage of our straight rolling/grinding service if you require simple rolled barley, for example. Just after harvest you may also wish for wet grains to be treated with acid to preserve the grain as a highly palatable feed throughout the winter.

Finished feed can be blown into bulk bins, augered onto floor or trailers or into 1T tote bags.

We have standard rations to create blends such as for beef finisher and growers, calf creep, traditional sows, pig growers and free range layers, but we will process to your exact requirements.

We offer a range of complementary products to mix with your home grown crops in 25kg bags, 1T tote bags or bulk as required.
