MUCK SPREADING

Helped by high fertiliser prices the TerraGators has proved a hit with our customers. It can carry up to 20t of muck at a time, but thanks to its four 1,050mm Michelin tyres you can hardly see where it’s been. Even working fully loaded on arable land the tyres don’t plough up the ground like trailed spreaders. It is also very accurate, and the weigh cells will be checked annually to make sure they stay that way.

The Terragators are filled using our JCB Loading Shovel. We operate throughout East Anglia, using an artic and low loader for the bigger moves to keep downtime to a minimum.

GPS mapping

Featuring integrated weighing and gps, the TerraGator and muck spreader is controlled via Challenger’s Falcon VT controller, which gives touch-screen access to all settings. One of benefits of this is that we can print out maps showing exactly where the muck has been spread and how much has been applied providing a useful record for managing NVZs. We are the only contractor in the country with machines that can weigh, map, vari-rate and download in one.

A new service being offered by O Arnold this year is muck analysis. Customers will be sent special muck analysis bags that can be used to send a sample of muck to Frontier, at Swaffham, where it will be analysed of its nutrient levels.
