Castle Folk Club -   Singers Night - 21st February, 2006

We had a good turnout of singers, with over ten performers - well done. Many thanks to all who came along and made it such a success. Special thanks to Graham for providing the bar, and to Gemma for doing the raffle and pulling the pints so beautifully

Geoff Peart kicked off proceedings with a couple of songs.

Lawrence backed by Gareth Morgan sang three including an unaccompanied version of Star of the County Down

Patrick O'Riordan included 'Matter of Pride' in his three songs.

Jim Saville a visiting Yorkshireman from Bradford treated us to a trio of humorous poems.

Davy Cartwright included 'Secrets and Signposts' in his three.

Gary Morgan sang a trio of songs which included 'Homberg'.             

Heather Skinner ended the first half with 'Cannot take your eyes off Her'.

The raffle was won by Jim Saville.

Neil Lewis got the second half going with a three of his own numbers including his very humorous 1977 hit 'Packer of the Leads'.

Gibb and Geoff returned with a several oldies including 'Cushy Butterfield'.

Davy and Pat finished off a very enjoyable evening with 'Here Comes the Sun'
