"need to

talk?"

"Counselling has provided me with a life changing experience."

"My marriage is now so much richer for having received counselling."

"I now know why I feel and act the way I do, and have been able to make fresh decisions for my life."

The Way Inn Christian Counselling Service has been set up under the umbrella of the Way Inn Christian Centre Trust and has the same interdenominational Christian basis.

Our aims

To provide a confidential counselling service to help individuals and couples struggling with difficult situations ranging from abuse, bereavement, marriage, divorce or unemployment to depression and feelings of inadequacy.

Sharing or talking through a difficulty with a trained counsellor can help in finding ways of resolving issues, changing perspectives and coping with life.

What is counselling

Counselling is a process in which one person helps another by purposeful conversation in an understanding environment.

The counsellor's role is to provide a safe, trusting environment in which the client can be helped to examine in detail the situations or behaviour that are proving troublesome and to find a crucial point where it would be possible to initiate some change.

The ultimate aim is to enable the client to make their own choices and decisions.

Who are we?

We are counsellors who are Christians with a wide variety of training and experience, working under a qualified supervisor. We are members of the Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) which is affiliated to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). All of our counsellors have been checked against records held by the Criminal Records Bureau - commonly known as a 'police check'.

All welcome

The counselling service is open to all regardless of ethnicity, outlook or religion. Although there is no upper age limit we do not normally see people under the age of sixteen.
