Can you help ?
Second Nature Life Support is a UK Registered Charity, and in order to keep Winthrop Park open and access free of charge at the point of need we totally rely on our own fund raising and charity support via generous donations and gift aid.
Whilst we do income generate from some enterprise activity, the park is supported by volunteers and donations which provide the up-keep and maintenance of the facilities. We need to raise £45k per annum to keep the park open for access by the community and for us to undertake our activities for the elderly and disabled.
Come and visit us. Maybe enjoy a coffee or buy something unusual from the nursery shop. If you are able to make a donation this can be a simple one off, or you may (like many) wish to to join the “Friends of Winthrop Park” and set up a small monthly payment to support our work. If you are a UK Tax Payer we can claim 28% extra on anything you “Gift Aid”.
Most of the day-to-day activities at Winthrop Park are facilitated and enabled by volunteers that are a great asset to the Charity. They find enjoyment and fulfillment in sharing the benefits of Nature Therapy with others or quietly working by themselves in parts of the garden planting or maintaining the facilities or enjoying respite and peace.
Others (like local businesses) sponsor events or donate equipment and goods rather than cash itself. Maybe you can help us to help the elderly and disabled through Nature Therapy - your support would be much appreciated.
