The practice was listed on the Consultants Register within the Department of the Environment (Registration Number CONREG 2257) and now with Construction Line (registration no. 10888).
In 1937 the firm was involved in the setting up of Scottish Industrial Estates, which spearheaded the Government's Industrial building programme in Scotland following the depression years. From then until 1978 the senior partner of the firm was Chief Consultant to that organisation which after several changes of name was absorbed into the Scottish Development Agency in 1975. This meant that the practice played a lead role in most of the industrial development that took place in Scotland during these forty-one years. From 1978 the firm continued to provide architectural service to Scottish Development Agency outwith the role of Chief Consultants. SDA ceased to exist in 1991 with the formation of Scottish Enterprise.
The various education projects, which the firm has been involved in, provided the opportunity of developing associations with the Scottish Education Department.
The Scottish Tourist Board have featured in recent studies where the firm was involved as architectural consultants and there have been negotiations with that organisation in connection with grant aid to Tourist projects.
Recent projects in Inverness include works for Northern Joint Police Board (Northern Constabulary) and Highland Council.
