Computer aided design and drawing operates using Autocad workstations (2007) complete with A1 colour plotting facilities.  Broadband modems allow file sharing with other offices, which enable E-mail and Internet access.  The office operates a network of PC`s which support Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database and project management functions, with Laser and Inkjet printers (including A1 colour).

The system also provides for accounts and office management.  There is an ongoing programme of training and development, and anti-virus software (updated daily) is installed on the server and all terminals.

The IHS web  information, technical and legal database gives us access to all the current regulations and guidance (British Standards, Health Technical Memorandum etc) and it links to NBS Writer for specification production. All files are automatically backed up daily by tape drive and tapes held offsite. Laptop and projector facilities are available for offsite presentations
