Wylie Shanks Architects - Quality Control

Wylie Shanks is committed to Quality Control in its service to the client, and ensures that the necessary and appropriate management and systems controls are applied to the provision of architectural services on all jobs.

The practice is UKAS accredited to BS EN ISO 9001 through British Standards Institute (no FS 514316) and audited annually.  Complete with the IHS internet database for reference to all current standards and guidance documents, specifications are prepared using the NBS system to which the Practice subscribes to ensure up-to-date information and technical guidance.

All projects are properly manned and the procedures laid down in the RIBA Plan of Work are appropriately applied.  Standard documentation both in-house and externally is used throughout job activity from setting up the initial commission record to final analysis report and archiving.

An office quality manual is followed, and constantly reviewed and improved.  In-house CPD, tailored to project needs, is arranged for all technical staff.

The office is a current member of the RIAS Practice Services, providing quarterly updates on Practice related matters.  It is registered with Construction Line (no. 10888), the government initiative for competence standards in the Industry.
