We are Ace Tattoo and are a new studio in Sunderland City Centre and we are here to drag tattooing screaming and kicking into the twenty first century, whether it likes it or not.

Us here at Ace Tattoo are specialists. As well as tattoos, we also offer services for piercings and tattoo removal. Also remember folks, that - by law - we cannot tattoo anybody under the age of 18.

When we decided to put the studio together we wanted a ground floor shop, so people didn't have to go rooting around upstairs or downstairs to find it, (some of you will know what I mean) so with that accomplished we wanted to have the place with a clean comfortable relaxed atmosphere tastefully decorated, the days of going to poxy little shit-pits for a tattoo is now over, in Sunderland any way, this place offers the very best in permanent body art at sensible prices in a clinically hospital clean environment.

This is the front of the shop where you can wait and have a cup of tea or coffee. The end to all those up stairs dirty tattoo studios.

Just to let anybody reading this know, that there is a lot of jealousy out there especially amongst other tattooists they all claim to be the best in the world and they will tell you anything to get your money, for instance there is a studio not a million miles away from us showing bad tattoos done by other tattooists, well if you are ever in our shop we can show you some very bad work done by that very studio, who also claim that there is nobody up here in the north east good enough to do portraits, well have a look at ours and see what you think.

When you are looking at a tattoo studio's website, be sure to take a close look at the quality of the tattoos there. They may look OK, to the untrained eye, but a closr inspection may reveal shaky lines and or faults with the shading that may not look quite right. Sometimes the anatomy of the bodies don't look quite right. If this is the case, don't go asking them for a tattoo as you don't want to be paying for the same tattoo twice, because that's what will happen if you are not happy with what you get. You should be sure that when you get a tattoo, that you get the best that is as available to you as a tattoo is permanent.

We expected a bit of shit from other tattooists in the area when we opened up and we certainly got some, but I can assure you that it is only jealousy because they can’t match our work and that’s the truth, we don’t claim to be as good as Darren stares or bob Tyrell but we certainly are the best in the area and that comes from countless satisfied customers, so why don’t you browse around our photo gallery or call in and see us we have thousands of photo’s of our work and we can’t possibly put them all on the website, we do all kinds of work , if you have your own design, bring it in we are masters at getting a design perfect, we are fully registered with the health authority and inks and needles are used only once then thrown out, all instruments used are fully sterilized in our new vacuum autoclave unit, and we have thousands of designs to choose from, we also have a full and comprehensive piercing service performed by staff fully trained by opp (organization of professional body piercers) we also offer children’s ear piercing all at very competitive prices, so take our best wishes with you and hopefully we will see you soon, from Phil, Gary and Nicola.
