2009 FOALS

Queenie's 2009 colt foal, his dad, TK, in the background.

We are very excited be able to show you  our 2009 foals.  Details of the mares and Tinsel King and their pedigrees can be found on their relevant pages. All our foals this year are by Tinsel King.  Names are pending registration.   All will be registered and/or passported and microchipped as appropriate by time of sale.  Any of the foals can be secured with a deposit.  We are very proud of our 2009 colts and hope you will share our enthusiasm.

Getting to know each other.  Dorothy talks with Kev, Gracie behind.

Please enquire for prices and more details.  We are aware of the current economical restraints and will not over price our babies but, at the same time, have too much respect for them to let them go for really silly bargain prices. We feel that there is a difference between good, quality horses and cheap horses. However, we aim to sell at realistic and not greedy prices!!

At the time of writing, late October, we have had Kev, Donald and Conker castrated. Their prices will now be under review until they have recovered fully from their "ops".   Please ask if you are interested in the mean time.

Purebred Quarter Horse Foals

Acorn Serendipity ("Kev")

Nicknamed "Kev" as a tribute to the friend who brought him into the world, this bay colt foal is by Tinsel King and ex Classical Blue Babe.  Sadly Blue died shortly after giving birth.  (For the full story go to Acorn QH News) Kev has striking facial markings and looks as if he will have two white hind socks

He has exceptional conformation. His dam was bred for barrel racing so he should have speed as well as looks and temperament.  He is straight and correct and is very outgoing and inquisitive.  He will make around 15.2 hh.

Due to the strange coincidence of his foster mother being a QH mare we know he will be registered as Acorn Serendipity.  Foundation bred at 80% (NFQHA).

Kev is doing very well on his foster mum and is maturing into a very handsome Quarter Horse.

Kev is now a gelding.  Once he is fully recovered from his op his price will be reviewed.

Acorn Mr Karma ("Albert")

"Albert" is our next addition. He is a gorgeous palomino colt out of Ms San Leo Rojo.

He was born in late May and is a very rich palomino colour with a distinctive white stripe on his face. If he is anything like his older siblings he will mature to be a very nice quarter horse with a great temperament.

He is outgoing with a laid back temperament and should turn out very easy to handle.

Albert will be ideal for any discipline but will be especially attractive to those looking for a palomino horse for western activities.

He will be eligible for registration with NFQHA at 86.5%.

Albert has been sold to Sarah of Staffordshire and will leave us shortly.  We look forward to regular progress reports.

Acorn Blue Destiny ("Conker")

Our next foal of the season is out of Gunners Blue Dandy (Pinkie) and is nicknamed "Conker" as he was born such a rich chestnut.  He is now greying out but will still be "Conker" to us.

His full sister, Acorn Fine n Dandy, has been successfully shown, gaining 1.5 halter points in her showing career and there is no reason why this chap couldn't emulate her.

His dam is one of our best producers and all her offspring are proving to be amenable and nice to be around with the added bonus of having looks to die for.  Conker is no exception!

He has outstanding presence and conformation and a bold, independent personality.

Conker would be eligible for NFQHA registration at 87.5%. Snap him up before someone else does!

Conker's current asking price is under review until he recovers from his castration but please ask if you're interested.

The latest and last QH foal of 2009, (another colt!), is out of Chipadee Reignlady.

He is a sorrel with flashy white legs and face and is extremely well made.

A potential halter and stud colt.

With the combination of his pedigree and looks he will go far.

This colt and his dam have been sold to Warren and Julie Marshall.

Part Bred Quarter Horse Foal

Dazzling Delight

Polka has really "done the biz" this year by presenting us with a cracking buckskin colt, the image of his sire Tinsel King.

He is nicknamed "Trev" and will be registered as a Section II partbred QH as he has 3/4 QH blood in his veins plus a smattering of paint horse from his maternal granddam, Bobby Dazzler who is by Sonny Steele (APHA).

We have a few of his dam's family around and they have proved to be a wonderful bloodline.  He is now turning a darker buckskin in time with no white, just like dad!

A lovely little western horse.  Trev would suit someone who wants a western horse but doesn't necessarily want the papers.

He would easily pass as a purebred QH!!

Trev has now been sold to Wendy Cooper of Warwickshire and she will take delivery of him at weaning.  He is a lovely colt and we hope he turns out to be all she would wish!!

Paint Horse Foals

Acorn Moore Chance ("Donald")

Sum Moore Fashion has produced this lovely colt foal, sadly not eligible for paint registration as he has inherited his solid colour from his sire.  He will be registered as a solid paint horse and a Section III QH however.

He is a big chap with lovely straight limbs and very correctly put together, with lots of muscle definition.

Donald is quite an outgoing chap and particularly enjoys having his rump scratched (as does his dad!)

This colt is entirely western bred and, once again, would be ideal for someone looking for a 100% western horse without being too bothered about the paperwork.

Donald has now been castrated and his asking price is currently being reviewed but please enquire if you like the look of him!

Sadly the foal below, Gracie, succumbed to a twisted gut and passed away.  We are deeply upset by this loss but have left the following information as a tribute to her,

Born to WC Deliberately Dun (Libby) in mid June, Gracie was born a buttermilk buckskin with a white face.

We will never know as to whether she would have had enough white to register as a full paint.

Gracie gradually darkened to a richer buckskin and was showing signs of possibly being dun with a dorsal stripe and vestigial markings and also has frosting in her mane and tail.  She has two blue eyes although one is much bluer than the other.

Gracie was a beautifully made little western horse with her unusual colouring.

Gracie was a little feminine beauty and will be sorely missed.
